Lac du Der holidays - Yelloh! en Champagne

There is a small regional market in the campsite every Friday, so that you can try the local regional products: wine, cold meats and many other products from the Haute Marne area.

Come and see an architectural grouping of half-timbered churches, unique in France. The circuit of these churches can be done on a bike, following 60km of départemental (smaller) roads.

The route starts in Montier-en-Der, with the Abbey Church, a superb edifice next to the National Stud, established in a former monastery.
Taking small country roads, this tourist route reveals the charming architecture of the villages and their churches, combining the exploration of half-timbered churches with stone churches, lit by superb windows, with the gleaming colours of the 16th-century church in the Troyes area.

Come and try the best vintage champagne along the Champagne route, and discover small producers, who will welcome you with a glass of champagne.
The Champenois Museum, not far from the Der Lake, will show you how people worked on vines and wine in Champagne in the 19th century.

You can visit the Grange aux Abeilles at Giffaumont Champaubert, and discover the apiculture of yesterday and today, find out about the life of bees, their role in nature (pollenisation), and the products of a hive (honey, pollen, royal jelly etc).
You can also see a living apiary.
