Ecole Française de surf de Contis : Located on Contis beach, which has a lifeguard, in the Petits Loups beach club, offering courses right beside the waves. A qualified instructor with State SURFING and SWIMMING diplomas has set up a programme of Discovery, Initiation or Improvement for those between the ages of 5 and 14+.
From 12€ to 112€. FFS (Fédération Française de Surf – French Surf Federation) insurance compulsory: 5€. Equipment provided.

Ecole Max Respect Association : French Surfing and Body boarding school, approved since 1996. Open to all from 5 years old upwards, and for all levels of ability: complete beginner, novice, improver, training. Supervision by lifeguard instructors with BEES (Brevet d'Etat d'Educateur Sportif – State Sport Instructor Diploma) State qualifications level 1 and 2. Equipment supplied (boards and suits). Special group prices. Open April to November.

Atlantis loisirs : Canoes or kayaks on the Courant de Contis ; a exceptional site of 450 hectares of marshland, protected with a "Natura 2000" preservation order. Rare, protected species: Southern Damselflies, European Pond Terrapins, otters, herons, kingfishers,

and many more.
Come and discover this natural world, and enjoy yourself by a river which is open to everyone.
Trips last 1½ to 2½ hours.
Departures every day in summer from 10.00am to 5.00pm. Out of season, ask at the campsite. Tariff: 24€ for 2 people and 1 child.

Boat trips : For two timeless hours, your boatman will surprise you with the extent of his knowledge, sharing his love of his country with you. You will discover very varied scenery, from wooded banks where Royal Ferns grow, to marshy plains, traces of the old-style Les Landes region.
If you love nature, you will be captivated by the Courant de Contis – all your senses will be brought to life...

Atlantic Equitation : Three kilometres from the campsite. Rides – including rides on the beach – and guided visits; discover the Les Landes region – T.R.E.C. (Technique de Randonnee Equestre de Competition – a kind of orienteering on horseback).

Ferme equestre Kerdoen : On the Route du Bayle at ST JULIEN EN BORN, 9 km from the campsite.
Very green, rustic surroundings. Horses and ponies for all – rides – tuition – Federal exams prepared – open all year.

Three kilometres from the campsite. Move from tree to tree on an adventure course designed for everyone. 70 areas and four assault courses for adults and children over 1m40 tall; a course for the little ones from 5 years of age, under parents’ supervision. Two Tarzan jumps, three-wire

bridges, hanging bridges, suspended stirrups, and more than 700m of zip slides will challenge you in complete safety.
Equipment which is supplied complies with current EC standards.
Open from April to the end of September at weekends and bank holidays upon reservation, and every day in summer from 10.00am to 8.00pm.

The metalled cycle trail, away from the road, will lead you from Contis to St Julien en Born.
More than 40km of hiking trails and marked forest mountain biking trails give you the opportunity to explore the forests of the Landes region.

Sea fishing : Free fishing all along the ocean and part of the river behind the campsite (enquire at reception).

River fishing : Permit required. This may be purchased at SOURGENS JY CYCLES PECHES, at St Julien en Born (8km): from 57€ to 73€, and 16€ if you already have a permit from another French département.
