brittany campsite - Le Port de Plaisance

Camping in Brittany - Le Port de Plaisance

Finding the soul of Brittany

This is a region rich in culture, to be explored – Brittany is one of the regions where traditions and culture stand out and everyone can really enjoy sharing in them. ‘Fest-noz’ (village dances), processions in costume and ‘Pardons’ (religious processions) follow on from each other and draw you right into the spirit of this region.

In the surrounding area

Escape to the Glénan islands, or float along down the Odet river to Quimper, country town capital of the Cornouaille region, Quimper the Town of Art and History, thanks to the quality of its architectural heritage. Or there’s Sainte-Marine, charming little sheltered port facing Bénodet bay, Fouesnant with its protected natural sites, the Ile-Tudy peninsula, surrounded by beautiful fine, sandy beaches. Vary your choice of pleasures: sea, nature, or exploration.

Widening the circle

Explore Concarneau and its walled town; Pont-Aven, made famous by its painters (notably Gauguin); the fishing ports of Loctudy, Le Guilvinec and Penmarc'h; Pont-l'Abbé with its chateau and the Bigouden museum; Audierne, a fishing port, and on to the Pointe de Raz, a great national site at the furthest point of Europe; Locronan with its architectural grouping which is unique in Brittany, and so much more. Sky and land will not fail to charm you.
