Ardeche camp site activities - Le Soleil Vivarais

Canoeing on the river

Below the Soleil Vivarais, the river has carved out a canyon forming spectacular gorges, which we will take you down in canoes. Slide over the rapids, glide under the Pont d’Arc, travel across peaceful lakes, and much more.
Descending the Gorges of the Ardèche is an unforgettable moment for all the family (over 7 years of age and good swimmers).
This activity is available every day upon reservation – departure from the
campsite in a bus.
From 16 euros per person for a half-day and 26 euros per person for a whole day.

Accrobranche

We offer you an adventure up in the trees – crossing narrow wood and rope bridges 20 metres up, abseiling, zip slides, and much more.
This activity is available every day upon reservation.
From 16 euros per person.

Canyoning

For athletic types, we offer an exhilarating day’s activity in a white water canyon. Hold on, departure in 30 seconds… And we’re off! Slide down natural slides, try jumps – anything between 2 and 25 metres – and explore waterfalls, go abseiling, swim in fresh water which will really bring all your senses to life!!
This activity is reserved for those over 13 years of age who are strong swimmers, and is available several times per week upon reservation.
From 54 euros per person for a day and 35 euros per person per ½ day.

Horse riding

At the Soleil Vivarais village we can offer you breath-taking views, and there
is nothing like a horse ride to see them at their best.
Eight hundred metres from the village, you will find a farm under the shade of the trees beside a little stream, where they offer riding. From there, you can
go out on great rides in the beautiful heathland of the Ardèche.
This activity is available every day upon reservation.
From 23 euros per person for a 2-hour ride.

Fishing

The village lies in the sun on a pretty peninsula surrounded by the River Ardèche, where you can go fishing beneath the shade of a venerable oak tree. Our river is rich in trout, carp and other, smaller fish. You can obtain a special “Ardèche Rivers” fishing permit at the newsagent.

Hiking

Our village is fortunate enough to be in the middle of dozens of hiking trails.
Our activities team will lead free hikes which are spectacular. Leave the campsite, travel in a car for between 5 and 11km at the most, then carry on on foot, through breathtaking scenery which you will enjoy to the full. If you like real, authentic nature, our Ardèche will really surprise you with its diversity.
